The Haunting is a production straight out of the Highland Beats studio. Jan Liefhebber goes back to his roots with this old-school techno acid track. The EP starts with three minutes of pure techno accompanied by a haunting undertone. A contagious TB303 bass line kicks in when you least expect it and brings the track to a pounding crescendo inspired by early horror films and the dark rave sounds of the 90's. Ritzi Lee is no stranger to the art of techno and has remixed The Haunting with his favorite tool the TR909 leaving the original acidic skeleton intact. Ritzi's Detroit-influenced techno mix completes the 12' and makes it an essential piece of red transparent vinyl for all techno freaks. Experiments have been carried out on unsuspecting crowds around the globe and the first results are extremely satisfactory.
