This release is most definitely among the strongest Flash records so far and sets the tone for forthcoming releases. Lutzenkirchen, who has already released his own productions as well as tons of remixes on labels such as Craft Music, Royal Flush, Polydor, Ministry of Sound or his home base Great Stuff, starts off the EP with the magic 'Microbox'. The track builds upon a flowery synthie lead and a powerful loop, while some wonderfully crafted effects try to lead as astray. Close your eyes to this and you will see everything that you want to see! On the flip side there is the minimal techno burner 'Jinxed'. A jittery beat with some double snares and effects goes hand in hand with a funky bassline that takes you up and down all the time. As a final push on the dancefloor, there is 'Submariner'. This one is much deeper and more rave-orientated for sure. The first two minutes are a constant crescendo of the tripped out synthie and some magical sound design, but then at 2:18 you know why you are on the floor. Keep bouncing to this high-voltage melody that makes this track a thumping tech-house monster! This is a great EP on Flash Recordings that we definitely want more of. Now!
