Raf Pisani and Marco Conte, aka Audiomatiques, have long been involved in techno but it's since they began working together as Audiomatiques that everything began to click. Together with Roberto Capuano, an artist who has already released for Loose, Claque Musique, Monique Musique and Suara, the duo have delivered 3 sterling tracks, which are backed by a remix from Rino Cerrone, for Loose. Cerrone takes full advantage of his position as label boss and places his remix of 'So Bad' in pole. It's a walloping but low slung affair riddled with hypnotic rises and false drops which build incredible tension. In original form, 'So Bad' is a pounding affair. The focus is centred around an unholy bass heavy kick with just the minimum of percussive flourishes and vocal effects doing the rest with aplomb. 'Mind Trip', while equally as heavy, is fluid and slick. Swinging tribal vibes and some clever effects work paired with an airtight arrangement makes for a surefire club burner. Finally, the bizarre yet compelling leads of the aptly titled 'Crazy Synth' close proceedings with a fever-dream fervour. Original and memorable, this is a genuinely anthemic cut.
