Mkt, the famous Vesuvio's city label, wins another gold medal in the wonder scene called Techno. This time with a talent made in Naples, Nando Apicella a.k.a. Kernel Key. Born on 1977 has an approach to the music since the childhood when his father give to him the first keyboard /synthesizer. At the age of twenty, he starts playing in most famous clubs of his town, in 2009 he gets a degree in sound design, mixing and mastering. Mkt 014 is the very first important project for him, that includes a remix of another young talent, Roberto Capuano. He made releases on Mkt, Loose Records and he'll have of course a great success with his next projects. 'Shockingly' has a ductile bassline that takes care of a deep kick which meets psychedelic voices through its way, but the real journey begins when the hihats grow up to taking rhythm until a little pause. Here, with absolute supremacy, a funky synth emphasizes the track giving life to a gorgeous groove that explodes in a swinging vibe. Put your hands up, this is real funky Techno. Neapolitan sound continues to make us move with Roberto Capuano. An hard beat, alternate hihats and a deep pad, making of this track a strong and pumping techno tune, which reaches its highest strength on the break, when the melody continues to improve supported by an increasing reverb that goes on till the restart. It's a 'Shockingly' remix. 'Waiting For Cocktail' is the third and last tune of the EP that gives a deepness and quiet sensation, but the groove has a progressive modulation and many reworked voices made an engaging synth for this stretchy beat. Elastic effects and tinkling bells lead the track to a Techno jumping session. A beautiful work for Kernel Key that like a painter signs his picture to take place in the international scene, don't miss it.
