"Leave The Dread" starts off unassuming enough, with a funky beat accented by the pitter patter of percussion, which leads then into some echo-drenched ragga vocals, as well as a skankin’ guitar. This track is a dub-head’s delight, with soft wailing vocals, a thick bass running alongside some understated drums. Alix really knows how to work this style, but that is not his only strength. He reunites with Specific, and they return to the sound that they first showcased on Horizons music 007’s "Love Bug". "Drive By" kicks in with some female wailing matched with soft keys, all flowing nicely over some layered drums. There’s an underlying feeling of "soul" on this tune, with the subtle bass keeping everything in sync.
